August 2026 Webinar: How Animal Death Doulas Support Clients and Organizations

AJ Stutzer will discuss the role of an animal (pet) death doula and how these professionals work with different types of clients. While a lot of animal death doula work revolves around helping prepare human clients for the end of their animal companion’s life, doulas also can play an important role in helping families carry out last-day wishes, prepare a home for at-home euthanasia, provide body aftercare support, and post-death grief calls. Animal death doulas also can work with vet clinics and shelters to ensure staff members exposed to frequent animal death have resources to help them process and work through work-related grief and compassion fatigue.
